Lately, in Corinna...

The demolition site is actually very neat. They do a good job of keeping things cleaned up. Here a machine operator is using a small I-beam to scrap up dirt on the slab out back. The piles of broken concrete are visible in the back ground. You may remember the picture of similar floor sweeping activity from March 1.

There were rumors that a large number of rats came out of the mill as it was demolished. I asked about this at Henderson's Store a month ago and during my visit to the site last week. No one I talked to has seen large numbers of rats. No one at the store had seen any rats on Main Street since shortly after the mill closed. None have been reported by workers during the demolition.
