| This photograph from the Stewart
Library Building Collection is of Josiah Hook Burrill. (I apologize
for the poor quality of the shot. The flash and my reflection show
in the image.) He lived from 1826 to 1904. In a Guest
Book entry, Carl Smith mentions a Josiah Burrill as my gggg
grandfather. His niece, Harriet Ireland, married Robert
Knowles. I am not sure that this Josiah Hook Burrill is the
same Josiah. It seems that he might be too young to be the uncle
of Robert's wife. |
