The Blizzard of 1962

This picture of what is now the Lister Petroleum Building was taken by my grandfather the day after the Great Snow Storm of 1962. This is the Exeter Road side of the building. 
Weather records for Bangor show 29.5 inches of snow fell in the two-day storm. High winds caused huge drifts all across central Maine. Hundreds of travelers were stranded. In Corinna the roads were plowed for only one lane of travel for the first few days after the storm ended.
