Lately, in Corinna...

Next to the Stewart Library Building, the most prominent feature in the village area these days is this huge pile of crushed rock. All of the rocks dug up during the excavation where reduced to nothing larger that about 4 inches. Much of the material was put back into the hole to form an underground water collection area that will be pumped for years to help remove the remaining contamination. Lots of rock is still left. Much of it will be used to complete the restoration of the area next summer.
