Lately, in Corinna...

This picture taken in 1916 shows the Grange Hall that used to be on the Dexter Road across from the Methodist Church. The Twilight Grange No. 201 was first organized in Corinna in 1876. The Grange moved into this building in 1905 when it was purchased from E. Ireland for $750. It was torn down in 1986. The building on the left was once a furniture store owned by Roy Buxton. It was a residence when it burned in a tragic fire in 1962. The building on the right was Will Southard's livery stable and later the Henry Sevey residence before it was torn down. The Corinna town office was located upstairs in this building before 1898.
If you know more about these buildings or related events, please consider sharing your stories in the Guest Book.
