Lately, in Corinna...

July 16, 2002

This is the former location of the Eastland Woolen Mill. It was demolished in 1999 and the area excavated in 2001 in response to extensive contamination in the soil and groundwater. The EPA has announced it's plan to further reduce the risks to human health and the environment from the site contamination. You can learn more about the cleanup proposal at the public meeting, Wednesday, July 17, 7:00 p.m. at the Corinna School cafeteria. At the meeting, the EPA will describe the proposed cleanup plan and answer our questions about the plan and how it will affect us.
