Lately, in Corinna...

This is a view from the Corundel Dam looking downstream toward Corinna village. This area, which used to be a mill pond, was restored to a free running stream as part of the EPA Superfund cleanup of the Eastland Woolen Mill site. Many people, myself included, were not particularly keen on the restoration and the lose of the pond. However, the height of the Route 7 bridge and the terrain of the area would have created a pond that would have been little more than a mud flat in the summer. I must admit, the stream looks nice and is a beautiful year-round wildlife habitat, all just a few hundred yards from the village area.
