There is a lot of dirt to be moved. Of course, not all of it is contaminated. These pictures were taken of the parking lot just off Main Street on the Stetson Road. It's across the street from what used to be Pearson's Store. The digging actually was taking place down along the river, below the trestle. There is a work road that runs in that area, between the railroad right-of-way and the river bed.

The road leads to what is called Area 3, the contaminated riverbed section below the trestle. The excavation of contaminated soil from this section is scheduled to begin this week.
