The EPA is working to find out exactly where the contamination is. These well drilling rigs have been a common site in Corinna since last Fall. Wells are drilled and the water in them tested for the volatile organic compounds that were released by the mill. Last Fall, fifty residential wells were sampled in the village area. No wells currently used for drinking water showed any contamination from the volatile organic compounds.
