This lupine grows near Corundel Lake Dam (Upper Dam). 

Don Wyman sent in this picture with the following note.

"Ken, I saw today's picture of the wild lupine and thought you might like to see its' Texas cousin, the bluebonnets. They bloom in early spring and then are gone before summer.
