The trees, like this big, old
birch seem to be waiting for enough sun and warm weather to start
budding. We may still be a month away from that.
Digital cameras have some limitations. For
instance, because an image is captured as small blocks of color,
they don't do a great job capturing fine texture at a distance
like the branches of this tree. A picture like this taken on
traditional film would look much better.
