Lately, in Corinna...

Here is an interesting view of Corinna from the the tower of the Stewart Library Building. Looking roughly southeast, I guess, the beginning of Mill Street shows at the bottom center. The area that used to be the lower mill pond shows brown behind pale green new leaves on the large trees. The building by itself, in front of the wooded area, was once the office for the Moosehead Woolen Mill. That mill burned in 1950. It would have filled the view from the former office all along the river to the right in this photograph if it were still there.

This is a post card photo of the Moosehead Mill. I think is was taken sometime in the 40's. The office building seen above would have been off to the left in this picture.
