Lately, in Corinna...

November 24, 2000

The recreational trail running along the old railroad track is an important route through Corinna for bikers, hikers, four-wheelers and snowmobiles. The trail has been closed since the Spring by the work on the site. All year, we have seen bikers and four-wheelers join in the automobile traffic on Route 7, the only way to get from the southern break in the trail on Mill Street, through town and across the river to the northern continuation of the trail.

Trail users will be pleased to know they are building a path across the site for the Winter. The picture above was taken from the southern break in the trail just as it enters the cleanup site.

In this picture it looks like the trail will curve to the right, cross the river over the box culvert and continue toward the Stetson Road intersection to Main Street.
