This picture was taken standing just north of the new bridge on Route 7 looking toward West Main Street along where Main Street used to be. The bank of crushed rock in the foreground is the side of the new river channel. The former Main Street area is now an open excavation that will not be filled back up to grade until next year. Then it will become new lots ready for redevelopment.
