Work has begun on the Mill Pond stream bed. In this picture, taken from the Upper Dam, you can see a worker and equipment starting on the restoration of the area. The cleanup eliminates the mill pond, making it instead, a free running stream. The work will restore the wetland habitat along the stream and provide a low-flow channel that will increase survival of fish and other aquatic life. |
