Lately, in Corinna...

We've spent so much time looking at what will change in the next few months, here are a couple of things that won't.

The Stewart Library Building was completed in 1898. Levi Stewart presented it to the town in honor of his parents. It houses the town office, the public library and Stewart's private library.

In the foreground you see the monument in Winchester Park. The family of a Civil War veteran, John Winchester, donated the park to the town in 1914. (Corinna Historical Society Calendar -2000)

In the present swirl of change, these two solid objects remind us that we are moving from a past created by those who came before us, through the present, into a future that we are creating now.
