Inside the clockThis photo was taken inside the clock tower of the Stewart Library Building in October of 1997.  It shows the mechanism inside the town clock standing three or four feet high. The black, gray and white area in the upper left corner is the back side of the front clock face. It is painted on glass.

David Poland, who knows clocks, tells me that it is being restored. The work is overseen by a committee of town's people including some of the Levi Stewart heirs.
