Work on the Clock is Progressing

While climbing up to the clock tower we stopped to look at the work being done on the clock. This beautiful new face is being built up in the tower.

 
 

This picture is deceptive. These hands are larger than they look. Notice the roll of duct tape in the lower right. (Duct tape has so many uses.)
 
 
Here we see the other clock hands and the shafts that run from the central mechanism to the hands on each face. Below are the drum that the winding cable winds up on and a gear that has been repaired.

 
 

I'm told the clock will be working again this Spring.
