After weeks of preparation involving extensive blocking with new i-beams and wooden crib-work, the Odd Fellows Hall was ready to move on Saturday, October 21. Six sets of dolly wheels were placed under the building on tracks built below the structure and out to the side. 

They estimated that the building weighs 350,000 pounds.

After much checking and re-checking of the wheels and tracks, cables from two cranes where attached to the building to pull it along.
