This series of pictures, taken on March 30, 2000 shows the toppling of the Eastland water tower. After cutting connections at the bottom of each leg the tower was pulled over with the cable you can see in the photographs. The flock of pigeons roosting on the tank were disturbed and flew away at the last minute. |
