Looming in the background in this picture taken from near the Corundel Dam is the contaminated soil containment area containing about 75,000 cubic yards of soil removed during the excavations of the river bed and former mill site. 

The EPA will hold a meeting on Wednesday, August 7, 2002 as a formal comment session. At this meeting citizens will have the opportunity to enter official comments for the public record about the proposed cleanup plan. The meeting will be at the Corinna School Cafeteria on the Stetson Road at 7:00 p.m.
