This isn't a very good picture but I have been trying to get a photo that shows how many ducks are spending the winter on the open water between the Corundel Dam and the new Route 7 bridge. Notice how the ducks are all facing away. As soon as they see me coming with my camera they head in the other direction. This area used to be the Mill Pond. In the past it would freeze over. Now, as running water, it provides winter habitat for a good sized flock.
