These pictures were not taken in
Corinna. On a recent trip to Pittston Farm, north of Rockwood, my
son Corey, the official wildlife photographer of The Cattail
Press, took these photos of a young moose on the edge of a road.
The high salt content of the roadsides attracts moose and deer.
They lick the dirt to get the salt spread to melt ice during the
winter. As you can see, Corey has a knack for getting pretty close
to animals.
