Lately, in Corinna...

This is the view coming into Corinna on the Newport Road as of July 21. Just after rounding the corner you see the Gould house and the Sawtelle house waiting to be demolished.

Years ago John Philbrick owned the Gould house. I remember the librarian, Hannah Bowler, also lived there. The Sawtelle house was owned by Charles Sawtelle. His son, Archie, was a wonderful and prolific photographer. Almost any collection of Corinna photos from the 30's and 40's will contain pictures that he made.
