Click on this picture to view a large copy. This is a concept drawing of what the village area of Corinna might look like after the superfund cleanup is complete and redevelopment has begun. The drawing is part of the Reuse Plan for Corinna Village Center. The plan was prepared by Corinna's Reuse Committee using a redevelopment grant from the EPA and working with Gates, Leighton & Associates in coordination with the Eastern Maine Development Corporation. The Reuse Plan was adopted by the town at a recent town meeting. Below are two maps showing the layout of the Corinna Village area before the Superfund cleanup started and after the cleanup is complete. The restored land areas will be turned back to the town and ready for redevelopment by 2004. |
