This picture shows the contaminated soil stock pile, covered with a black tarp, viewed from the east side of the river. Situated on a acre or so of land up behind the electrical substation, this pile contains the 75,000 cubic yards of soil excavated from the cleanup site. The process of decontamination will begin this summer. It may not be complete until next year. |
