This picture was taken from the railroad right-of-way. Most of my attention has been on Main Street but these two buildings on the Newport Road will also be demolished very soon to make way for the new section of Route 7.  I'm told that the legal proceedings are complete. The Maine Department of Transportation now owns all of the properties involved.
