My idea of downtown included everything in an area from the Town Hall through the Mill to the Methodist Church, over to the Post Office, on to the Telephone Office, back up behind the stores on Main Street to the old Legion Hall and back to the Town Hall. All of those boundary markers are still there. But, there is a big hole in the middle. For now, Main Street is only a heavily traveled road through the middle of a construction site.

It looks pretty bleak right now. But, John Hartley's entry in the Guest Book reminds us that bleak circumstances may be the first steps to real improvements.
