Here's a closer look at the intersection of Routes 7, 11, 43 and 222 taken from the tower of the Stewart Library Building. This is at the north end of the Route 7 section re-built by the EPA. The cleanup required the complete removal of the town's Main Street. The re-built section includes a new bridge over the East Branch of the Sebasticook River and the removal of a 90 degree corner in town. The Maine Department of Transportation will reconfigure this intersection. I'm told that should happen some time in the next two years.
