Some local students decided to make a difference on Main Street in Corinna by painting a mural on the mill. Cynthia Porter, a student at Nokomis, developed the design.

A number of young people and adults were involved. Kathleen Coons and other members of the Nokomis Honors Science Class worked with their teacher, Don McDougal to organize the effort.
Not only did they cover up the graffiti that had lately appeared, they replaced it with fine messages of their own.
Kathleen's brother, John Coons and other students from the Corinna Schools used paint donated by the Paris Farmer's Union in Newport to add their talents to the display. |
