NON-TIME CRITICAL REMOVAL ACTION
EASTLAND WOOLEN MILL SITE
CORINNA, ME
The following summarizes WESTON's work completed on the Eastland Woolen Mill Site for week ending Friday January 5, 2000:
Safety Update:
- Conducted daily safety inspections on the heavy equipment used on site.
- Workers around the work areas continued to wear level D personal protective equipment.
Work Accomplished by WESTON:
Subcontractor oversight. HLA drillers support. Sampled carbon vessels. Cleaned confined space entry equipment. Performed snowmobile trail maintenance. Continued snow removal and general housekeeping around the site. Completed 54yd3 pour on west bridge abutment. Completed sill repair/replacement on Odd Fellows Building. Began preparing Odd Fellows basement for pour.
Two-week Projection:
The following summarizes the anticipated work to be completed for the next two week time period (January 8 through January 22):
- Continue ongoing maintenance of erosion controls, construction fencing, and security fence around the work site.
- Continue bridge construction.
- Pour Odd Fellows Building cellar floor.
- Install electricity and other utilities in Odd Fellows Building.
- Monitor winter cover on contaminated soil stockpile.
