NON-TIME CRITICAL REMOVAL ACTION
EASTLAND WOOLEN MILL SITE
CORINNA, ME
The following summarizes WESTON's work completed on the Eastland Woolen Mill Site for week ending Friday January 12, 2000:
Safety Update:
- Conducted daily safety inspections on the heavy equipment used on site.
- Workers around the work areas continued to wear level D personal protective equipment.
Work Accomplished by WESTON and Subcontractor:
Subcontractor oversight. Performed snowmobile trail maintenance. Continued snow removal and general housekeeping around the site. Prepared north wing wall on abutment #1 for pour on 1/12/01. Completed 12yd3 pour of north wing wall on abutment #1. Completed pour of Odd Fellows basement. Began installation of electrical boxes/cables in Odd Fellows Building. Began saw-cutting Odd Fellows basement slab.
Two-week Projection:
The following summarizes the anticipated work to be completed for the next two week time period (January 15 through January 29):
- Continue ongoing maintenance of erosion controls, construction fencing, and security fence around the work site.
- Continue bridge construction.
- Complete installation of electricity and other utilities in Odd Fellows Building.
- Monitor winter cover on contaminated soil stockpile.
