The soil stock pile area is used to store the excavated contaminated soil. It is a large containment pad built on the slab out back. The trucks bring each load here to be dumped. This picture was taken from the east bank of the river, just above the Middle Dam. Across the water you can see the blue tarp used to cover the contaminated soil. The pile is huge and growing everyday. The contamination will be removed from this soil using hot air.
