Thursday, the Beauregard building that once housed Mabel Holbrook's Store was demolished. The excavator quickly removed most of the back. However, it took a while to bring down the front. In the pictures below you can see how close the building was to the street and the utility wires in front. They were very careful about stopping traffic while the excavator worked. That meant only a few minutes work before stopping to let the accumulated traffic go through.

These pictures are of the last moments as the front came down. They did neat work. Shortly after the last photo was taken one worker picked up the few bits of debris that fell to the sidewalk. Nothing came out into the street.
