Lately, in Corinna...

Yesterday Jason Paradis asked an interesting question in the Guest Book: Where was the town office located before the Stewart Library Building was constructed? I found the answer in "Corinna 175th Anniversary 1991" Edited by Everett E. Simpson, 1992. The picture above, published in that book courtesy of Bob And Arlene Pearson, shows Will Southard's livery stable on the Dexter Road. The building to the left is the Grange Hall. It used to be directly across from the Methodist Church. The livery stable was close to the current location of the Family Affair restaurant. The caption with this picture states that the town office was located upstairs before 1898. The boy holding the horse is identified as Frank Day, Jr. Will Southard is seated near the door.
