Under this black tarp, inside this containment area just a few hundred yards from the Corundel Dam are 75,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil excavated from the the Eastland Woolen Mill Superfund Site. In the next two years, every cubic yard of this soil will be heated to a temperature high enough to drive off the contamination and make the fit for use again. |
