This is a picture of Main Street, facing east, after the fire of 1903. There wasn't much left on the north side of the street. Doesn't this look strangely familiar.

My mother, Betty Dow, recently found this photo in a 1985, Penquis Edition of "Paper Talks", published by Impact Publications of Hampden.
