Of course, you knew how this story would end. By 1975 the former Realty Hotel was known as The Block. It was a two story building housing stores on the ground floor and apartments on the second. Fire destroyed the building as shown in this picture taken from the roof of the mill across the street. The site remained an empty lot, unchanged until the Superfund cleanup. This picture was published in Bill Sawtell's book, 20th Century Corinna, 1984.
