This picture of the Corinna Union Academy Museum on the Saint Albans Road in Corinna was taken 2 weeks ago, before the fire. The main section of the building was constructed in the 1850's. The wings were added in the 1930's. The building served as a high school, Corinna Union Academy, until 1968. It was then used as Corinna Junior High School until 1998. Now owned and operated as a museum by the Corinna Historical Society, the building was partly damaged by fire on July 4. The Historical Society will have it's regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 16 at 2 PM at the Stewart Library Building. The public is welcomed. |
