I found a reference
to E. P. Burrill in William Sawtell's book "20th Century
Corinna", published in 1984. I am assuming this would be
the same Elam P.
Burrill (1825-1909) pictured here. He established the first grist mill
in Corinna. In 1870 Elam went into business with W. A. Ireland
to build the first grain elevator and feed supply house in town.
In 1882 they sold the business to L. F. Ireland. That building
burned in the fire of
1903. The next year L. F. Ireland built a new store and
grist mill. |
